Who writes this content
Every product review, buying guide, and pillar article on Vapekage.com is written or edited by Oliver James, founder and head of e-commerce. Oliver is a Texas-based vape retailer who has personally tested every device sold on the site. We do not use anonymous freelancers, AI-generated reviews, or vendor-supplied marketing copy passed off as editorial.
How we test products
Every disposable we review goes through a hands-on test cycle before any review goes live. We document:
- Puff count vs. claim — we run the device daily until depletion and log actual puff count, weighing the device on a 0.01 g scale at start and end to estimate juice consumption.
- Flavor consistency — we note when flavor degrades (typically the last 10-20% of the device).
- Charging behavior — we measure charge time and how many cycles are needed before depletion.
- Build quality — air leaks, button responsiveness, screen accuracy on devices with displays.
Affiliate and commercial relationships
Vapekage sells every product it reviews. We are a retailer, not a neutral review site. When we say "we recommend X over Y," we are also selling X. You should weigh that conflict of interest when reading our content.
What we will not do:
- Pretend a product is good when our hands-on testing says otherwise. If a device underperforms, we say so on the product page or stop carrying it.
- Hide negative reviews submitted by customers.
- Accept paid placement, sponsored "best of" inclusions, or undisclosed manufacturer payments to influence rankings or content.
Sourcing and authenticity
We source products only from authorized distributors or directly from the brand. Every product page lists the brand and the device's PMTA-eligible status where applicable. We do not stock counterfeit, gray-market, or PACT-noncompliant inventory. Read our Authenticity Guarantee for details on how we verify each batch.
Compliance and legal
Vapekage is registered with the FDA and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) under the PACT Act. We require multi-factor age verification at checkout (21+) via AgeChecker.Net, an adult-signature delivery service, and we do not ship to states or municipalities that prohibit flavored disposable vapes. Corrections policy
If you find a factual error in any review, blog post, product spec, or pillar guide, email sales@vapekage.com with the URL and the specific error. We will:
- Investigate within 3 business days.
- Correct the content if the error is verified.
- Add a "Corrected on [date]" note at the top of the page describing what changed.
Material corrections (price, puff count, nicotine strength, compliance status) take priority over typos and stylistic edits.
Editorial independence from advertising
We do not run third-party display ads. We do run our own retargeting and email marketing for products we sell. No external advertiser pays for editorial placement.
How content is updated
Each review carries a Published and Updated timestamp. We re-test devices when the manufacturer ships a new revision (a common practice in this category — same name, different internals). When that happens, the review is re-dated and a "What changed" note is added.
Reader feedback
Every product page accepts customer reviews. We publish all reviews from verified purchasers, including 1-star reviews. We do not edit review text — only redact obvious PII or profanity.
