The One Tank 40K and Geek Bar Pulse X 25K are the two most interesting disposables in my catalog right now because they're the only ones with adjustable wattage or pulse mode. Both target the experienced vaper who wants performance customization — which is rare in disposables.

I've run them side-by-side for 4 weeks. Here's the deep comparison.

The wattage difference is real

One Tank's adjustable wattage (10-30W) is the more flexible system. You can run it at 15W to maximize device life and battery, or crank it to 30W when you want bigger clouds. The Pulse X's pulse mode is binary — on or off — and doesn't give you fine-grained control.

In practice: I ran my One Tank at 15W for daily use and bumped to 25W on weekends. Battery life at 15W stretched the device to nearly 38,000 real puffs. At 30W, I got down to 28,000 puffs but with significantly more vapor.

Flavor — close call

Both use mesh coils, both are 5% nicotine salt. The flavor profiles are within 5-10% of each other. The difference: One Tank's USA-made juice tastes a hair cleaner — less synthetic on the back-end. Pulse X has slightly more vapor density in pulse mode, but the flavor isn't markedly better. If I'm being honest, I prefer the One Tank's flavor consistency. Your mileage may vary.

Cost-per-puff math

This is where One Tank pulls ahead decisively.

  • One Tank 40K at 15W: $18.99 / 38,000 = $0.000500 per puff
  • One Tank 40K at 30W: $18.99 / 28,000 = $0.000678 per puff
  • Pulse X 25K (normal): $18.99 / 22,000 = $0.000863 per puff
  • Pulse X 25K (pulse mode): $18.99 / 18,500 = $0.001027 per puff

One Tank at 15W is 42% cheaper per puff than Pulse X in normal mode, and 51% cheaper than Pulse X in pulse mode.

The verdict

Get the One Tank 40K if: you want maximum longevity, USA-made juice, fine wattage control, or the lowest cost-per-puff in the category.

Get the Geek Bar Pulse X 25K if: you want the hardest possible hit (pulse mode), full data display (puff count visible), or you're already a Geek Bar fan.

My personal pick: One Tank 40K. The wattage flexibility is genuinely useful, the cost-per-puff math wins, and USA-made juice matters in this category where 95% of disposables use Chinese juice formulations. Available at One Tank 40K product page.

Frequently asked questions

Which has more puffs, One Tank 40K or Geek Bar Pulse X 25K?
One Tank 40K is rated higher (40,000 vs 25,000 puffs). In real-world testing, the One Tank delivers ~35,000 puffs of clean flavor; the Pulse X delivers ~22,000 in normal mode. So One Tank lasts roughly 60% longer per device.
Which has better build quality?
Both are well-built mid-2026 disposables. Pulse X has a sharper color screen with battery + juice + puff count. One Tank has a simpler display showing battery and juice level only. One Tank has adjustable wattage (10-30W) which Pulse X doesn't — that's a real differentiator if you like tuning power.
Which has better flavor?
Side-by-side blind testing came out close. Pulse X has slightly more vapor production due to higher peak wattage in pulse mode. One Tank has cleaner flavor consistency across the device life because of USA-made juice formulation. If clean flavor matters most, One Tank. If hard hits matter most, Pulse X.
Which is cheaper per puff?
One Tank 40K wins decisively. $18.99 / 35,000 real puffs = $0.000543 per puff. Pulse X 25K = $18.99 / 22,000 = $0.000863 per puff. One Tank is 37% cheaper per puff. If pure economics matter, One Tank.
Which is USA-made?
One Tank uses USA-manufactured e-liquid (rare in the disposable vape category, where most juice is Chinese-made). The hardware is still manufactured overseas like all disposables, but the juice formulation is American. Geek Bar uses Chinese-manufactured juice.
Which one should I buy?
Get the One Tank 40K if you prioritize longevity, USA-made juice, adjustable wattage, or cost-per-puff economics. Get the Geek Bar Pulse X 25K if you prioritize hard-hit pulse mode, screen detail, or established brand recognition.
Are both rechargeable?
Yes. Both have USB-C rechargeable lithium batteries. One Tank uses a 900 mAh battery; Pulse X uses 850 mAh. Charge time is similar (~40 minutes for both).
